We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In the field of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles.

The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to do and can be done even in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays and the northwest of Mahé.
The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is harmless.

Children from 5 years will be just as enthusiastic, because there is a lot to see & discover. If necessary, we will even see a real flying fox up close and feed it.

Anse Major cannot be reached by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be exceptionally rewarded.

What To Expect

Anse Major Trail

After being picked up from your hotel or the ferry, you will be taken to the starting point or the entrance of the trail by car.
From there we will hike about 1-1.5 hours.
It's a narrow, safe hiking trail that sometimes goes up and down a bit.
You do not need a special level of fitness for this, just good shoes, sports shoes or hiking boots. No sandals or flip flops, please.
We will stop at several points on the tour to give you enough time to take great pictures. There are several hot spots for this.
Once you have arrived you have the opportunity to explore the small bay, swim and snorkel.
There is also a small fresh water basin, with the water from the granite mountains of the nature reserve, which is certainly several million old, very clean and cooling.
We plan a stay of about 1-2 hours before we either hike back.
After the hike we will be happy to bring you back to the pick-up point.
